Cergie, when i lived in the Catskill Mountains, there was a shop –a little “general store” they told me to write down thgins I wanted that they didn’t have so they could have them for me next time. I wanted some soy milk and some good dutch cocoa, and they always had it for me after that. For another customer they stocked rolling papers so he could roll his own “cigarettes”. Everyone gave their lists and in a few days they would bring these items to this tiny shop. When you are snowed in you could walk to this little shop. about a mile down the road, and someone would always offer a ride back if you wished. The shop was attached to the post office (both in the same old Victorian house. So people where always “hanging out” there.
